Dr vivienne moult
Dr Vivienne Moult is a Vascular Surgeon with a special interest in peripheral arterial disease, diabetic feet and complex arterial revascularisation. She also specialises in all other areas of vascular surgery including abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), claudication, renal dialysis access, mesenteric and visceral vascular disease, venous disease and varicose veins
Dr Moult completed her Bachelor of medicine at the University of Newcastle, New South Wales in 2008. As a junior doctor and registrar, over the next 6 years she gained experience across a wide variety of surgical specialities including vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and intensive care.
Dr Moult commenced her vascular training in 2014 and worked across a number of busy vascular units in Australia including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Adelaide), Gold Coast University Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. During her training, Dr Moult worked alongside some of the best and most innovative surgeons and physicians in Australia and gained a solid foundation in open surgery and expertise in the latest cutting-edge endovascular techniques.
Dr Moult successfully completed her fellowship exams in vascular surgery in 2020 and was accepted as a Fellow of the Royal Australiasian College of Surgeons. Dr Moult then undertook a further (optional) year of fellowship training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital to refine and build on her skills. In 2022 Dr Moult moved her family to the Sunshine Coast to take a position as consultant vascular surgeon at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH). She also operates privately at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and Buderim Private Hospital.
Dr Moult has a strong interest in teaching and research. Dr Moult is involved in the teaching of medical students and junior doctors at SCUH and holds a position as a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University Medical School. Dr Moult is committed to ongoing research in vascular surgery and is currently involved in numerous research projects.
Dr Vivienne Moult lives on the Sunshine Coast with her husband, 2 young children and her dog.
Outside of work hours Dr. Vivienne loves enjoying the outdoors with her family.
Taking the dog for a run at the beach, fishing and camping with family and friends are some of Dr Vivienne's favourite activities. Hobbies include gardening and indoor plants, and numerous crafty projects.
